Job Application for Senior Test Engineer

We are looking for:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Manual Test Engineer to join our dynamic team at Pinetics, a leading embedded electronics product design company. As a Senior Manual Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our embedded electronic products through meticulous manual testing processes.

Will be responsible for:

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product specifications and requirements.
  • Execute manual test cases to identify defects, bugs, and issues in embedded electronics products.
  • Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure that software changes and enhancements do not adversely affect existing functionality.
  • Collaborate closely with the product development team to understand product requirements and design effective testing strategies.
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders, including identifying areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.
  • Participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback on testability and identify potential areas of concern.
  • Work closely with software developers to reproduce and debug issues reported during testing.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements and skills needed in the job:

  • 5 to 7 Years of Proven experience as a Manual Test Engineer in the embedded electronics industry, with at least 2+ Years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture, hardware/software interactions, and electronics testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in creating test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing
  • methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a
  • cross-functional team environment.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) is a
  • plus.
  • ISTQB or other relevant certifications are desirable.

Should have the following qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in E&TC or Computer Science, or a related field.
