This policy explains what personal data Pinetics collects through pinetics.com, why we collect it, who else handles it, how long we keep it and what you can do about it. It also lists every cookie the site uses. If anything is unclear, write to us at hello@pinetics.com.
In short
- We collect what you type into our enquiry and job forms, what you send us by email, and, only if you accept analytics cookies, how you use the site.
- We use it to reply to you, to assess job applications and to improve the site. We do not sell personal data and we run no advertising on this site.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time, and change your cookie choice with the cookie icon at the bottom right of every page.

1. Who we are
Pinetics Private Limited (CIN U72900PN2020PTC191060) designs electronics hardware, firmware and software for other companies. Our registered office is at Ganesham Commercial Building, 2nd Floor, Unit 6, Pune 411027, and our office is at 301 Cubes Commercial Complex, Wakad, Pune 411057, India.
For the personal data described here we are the Data Fiduciary under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the controller under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation.
2. What we collect, and why
- When you browse the site: your cookie choice, and the basic technical data every web server receives, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. We use it to run the site, keep it secure and remember your choice.
- When you accept analytics cookies: the pages you view, clicks, scrolling, time on page, device and browser type, your approximate location worked out from your IP address, and the site that referred you. Microsoft Clarity also records how you move through a page and masks sensitive content by default. We use this to learn which pages are useful and to fix what is not.
- When you send an enquiry: your full name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in, your project description and any documents you attach. We use it to reply, understand your project and prepare a proposal.
- When you apply for a job: your full name, email address, mobile number, the position, your LinkedIn and portfolio links, your years and type of experience, current employment status, CV, notice period, current and expected pay, where you are based, and your answers to the screening questions. We use it to assess your application and contact you about it.
- When you email us: your email address, name and whatever you choose to write or attach. We use it to reply.
The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads. We do not sell personal data, and we do not run advertising or advertising tracking on this site.
3. Our legal grounds
- Consent. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity run only after you accept analytics cookies.
- Information you give us for a purpose. When you send an enquiry or an application, you give us that information so that we can respond, and we use it only for that. Under India’s DPDP Act this is data you have voluntarily provided for a specified purpose; under GDPR it is taking steps at your request before a contract, or our legitimate interest in recruiting.
- Legal obligations. Where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.
4. Who handles your data for us
Only these service providers, each working on our instructions:
- Hostinger: hosts the website.
- Typeform: runs our enquiry and job application forms.
- Microsoft: runs our email (Microsoft 365) and, if you accept analytics cookies, Microsoft Clarity.
- Google: runs Google Analytics, if you accept analytics cookies, and serves the site’s typeface (Google Fonts).
We also disclose data to authorities where the law requires it. If Pinetics were ever merged or sold, personal data could pass to the new owner under this policy. We do not share personal data with anyone for their own marketing.
5. Data outside India
Our service providers may store or process data outside India, including in the European Union and the United States. Where data about visitors from the EU or UK leaves those regions, we rely on the transfer safeguards those providers offer.
6. How long we keep it
- Your cookie choice: 180 days, then we ask again.
- Google Analytics: event data 2 months, and data linked to a visitor identifier 14 months. Google’s standard reports are built from aggregated data, which these limits do not cover.
- Microsoft Clarity: recordings 30 days; heatmaps and click data 9 months; recordings we mark as favourites 9 months.
- Enquiries that do not become a project: 2 years.
- Job applications from candidates we do not hire: 24 months.
- Client project records: as long as the contract and the law require.
When a period ends, we delete the data or make it anonymous.
7. Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct, complete or update it;
- delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it. For cookies, use the cookie icon at the bottom right of any page.
If you are in India, you can also nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or become unable to, and complain to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied with our response.
If you are in the EU or UK, you can also object to processing, ask us to restrict it, ask for a copy in a portable format, and complain to your data protection authority.
Write to hello@pinetics.com. We reply within one month, and in any case within 90 days, the maximum the DPDP Rules allow.
8. Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use only the cookies needed to run the site, plus analytics cookies if you accept them. We use no advertising cookies.
When you first visit, a banner asks for your choice. You can change it at any time with the cookie icon at the bottom right of every page, and you can delete cookies in your browser settings.
Necessary cookies, always on
- cookiez-user-consent (180 days): remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask on every page.
- _lscache_vary (2 days): set by our caching software so the site serves the right version of a page.
Analytics cookies, only if you accept
- _ga (about 13 months): Google Analytics. Tells visits apart so we can count visitors.
- _ga_ followed by an ID (about 13 months): Google Analytics. Keeps track of your visit session.
- _clck (1 year): Microsoft Clarity. Recognises the same visitor across visits, for recordings and heatmaps.
- _clsk (1 day): Microsoft Clarity. Joins the pages of one visit into a single recording.
If you reject analytics, Microsoft Clarity does not load at all, and Google Analytics is told not to use cookies.
Other services
- Typeform: our enquiry and job forms are provided by Typeform and shown inside our pages. Typeform may use its own cookies inside the form; see Typeform’s privacy and cookie policies.
- Google Fonts: our typeface is loaded from Google, which receives your IP address.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you without delay what happened, what it may mean for you and what we are doing about it, and we will inform the authorities where the law requires.
10. Children
This site is for businesses and job seekers. It is not aimed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
