The Pinetics SOM is a compact System-on-Module built around the NXP i.MX 8M Plus processor, featuring quad Cortex-A53 cores at 1.8 GHz, a dedicated 2.3 TOPS NPU for edge AI, and integrated Wi-Fi 6 / Bluetooth 5.3 — designed for industrial, medical, defence, and IoT applications.
The Pinetics SOM currently supports Yocto Embedded Linux. We also provide official Board Support Packages (BSPs) including Yocto Linux images, device-tree configurations and getting-started documentation.
The Pinetics Carrier Board is a purpose-built evaluation and development board that exposes all SOM interfaces — including HDMI, USB 3.1, dual Gigabit Ethernet, MIPI CSI/DSI, CAN FD, and GPIO — enabling rapid prototyping and production deployment.
The Pinetics SOM is scheduled for release in July 2026. Customers who participate in the pre-booking phase will receive priority shipping. All units are fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis according to the date of order reservation.
The SOM is available with 1 GB to 8 GB LPDDR4 RAM and 8 GB to 128 GB eMMC 5.1 flash storage. Contact us for custom configurations if your project requires specific memory combinations.
